In 2024, many GS authors make outstanding contributions to our journal. Their articles published with us have received very well feedback in the field and stimulate a lot of discussions and new insights among the peers.

New Impact Factor for Gland Surgery: 1.8

We are pleased to announce that Gland Surgery (GS) has attained its latest impact factor update for the 2022 citation year: 1.8 .

The Gland Surgery (Gland Surg; GS, Print ISSN 2227-684X; Online ISSN 2227-8575), launched in May 2012, is an open access, peer-reviewed journal published monthly (quarterly published from 2012 to 2014 and bimonthly published from 2015~2020).

Gland Surgery 2022 CiteScore Released: 3

We are pleased to announce that the Gland Surgery (GS) has received its 2022 CiteScore: 3, ranking 172 out of 495 journals in the Surgery category.

Furthermore, we are delighted to highlight the remarkable achievements made by all AME journals in the CiteScore ranking.

Preoperative identification of small parathyroid adenomas—better done by fluorocholine positron emission tomography/computed tomography

SPECT/CT versus PET/CT in a patient with a small PA. Surgical treatment of breast cancer related lymphedema—the combined approach: a literature review

Current status of autologous breast reconstruction in Europe: how to reduce donor site morbidity

The surgical perforator dissection. (A) The perforator is freed for muscle and deep fascia and muscle is retracted using Lone Star Elastic Hook. (B) A cotton Q-tip is very useful to free perforator and intercostal nerves from the rectus muscle. (C) The main pedicle is dissected under the rectus abdominis muscle using surgical retractors without extending the deep fascia incision. (D) The perforator/pedicle dissection with 6 cm fascia-incision which is usually closed towards the midline in order to be included in the rectus abdominis plicature suture.
