Abnormality of p16/p38MAPK/p53/Wipl pathway in papillary thyroid cancer

In the article entitled “Abnormality of p16/p38MAPK/p53/Wipl pathway in papillary thyroid cancer” that appeared on Page 34-35 (1) of the May 2012 Issue of Gland Surgery (GS), there were two errors. The corrections are as follows:

• In the page 34, “PTC group” Paragraph, the third sentence “Lymph node metastasis was noted in 92 patients, while 37 patients had no lymph node metastasis.” should be corrected into “Lymph node metastasis was noted in 33 patients, while 37 patients had no lymph node metastasis.”;
• In the last paragraph of “Results” section at page 35, the “The positive protein expressions of p38, p53, and p16 in PTC tissues were all in nucleus (Figure 2).” should be “The positive protein expressions of p38MAPK, p53, and p16 in PTC tissues were all in nucleus (Figure 2).”.

The publisher regrets the error.
