Erratum: Tension-free thyroidectomy (medial thyroidectomy)—a prospective study: surgical technique and results of 259 operations
Erratum to: Gland Surg 2023;12:1242-50
The article titled “Tension-free thyroidectomy (medial thyroidectomy)—a prospective study: surgical technique and results of 259 operations” published in Vol 12, No 9 (September 25, 2023) of Gland Surgery (doi: 10.21037/gs-23-147) unfortunately missed two important references in the Introduction section.
The correction is formatted as follows:
In the Introduction section, the text “Our preliminary study (8) has shown that the change of the paradigm and the routine application of the medial approach may have a positive effect on the overall complication rate.” should be corrected as “There are also studies with use of the systematic approach to the recurrent laryngeal nerve identification and dissection medially, starting directly at the cricothyroid joint (8,9). Our preliminary study (10) has shown that the change of the paradigm and the routine application of the medial approach may have a positive effect on the overall complication rate.”
The reference part should add two literatures below:
