Dr. Liu now is a chief physician in The First Affiliated Hospital, Zhejiang University, Zhejiang, China
He has been working on breast cancer research for many years. After entering one of the China's top universities, Zhejiang University, with excellent grades, he devoted himself to clinical medicine research all the way from undergraduate to the doctoral degree. And his great efforts enabled him to enter the renowned hospital in Zhejiang Province: The First Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University. Since entering this hospital in 2002, he has continued to learn and improve his abilities, which allowed him to be promoted from Resident Physician to Chief Physician. He is a member of the Zhejiang Cancer Association for Breast Cancer and a doctor of clinical medicine from Zhejiang University.
As being promoted as a professor in 2019, Dr. Liu presided over and participated in many large-scale scientific projects. For instance, he presided over the funding project of the Science and Technology Department of Zhejiang Province, which investigated the role and mechanism of microRNA regulation of DUSP4 in breast cancer chemotherapy resistance, from 2017 to 2019. Moreover, he took part in the projects given by the Natural Science Foundation of Zhejiang Province and the Zhejiang Natural Science Youth Fund between 2013 and 2015. These two projects were mainly focused on the role and mechanism of the usp9x gene in chemotherapy resistance of triple-negative breast cancer. As a main participant, Dr. Liu has made great contributions to these projects.
Dr. Liu is fluent in both Chinese and English and has published lots of academic papers on breast cancer, which include the topic of novel chemoresistance genes in breast cancer, elements that enhances the chemosensitivity of MCF-7, and MCF-7/ADR breast cancer cells to doxorubicin, etc.
